This is Your Site
we want you to be informed
Information which affects you should be free. This was the purpose of the Internet - to allow people from all over the globe to share information freely. It was not designed to allow scammers to cheat people from the safety of their homes. It was not designed to allow spammers to flood your inbox with fake offers. We believe that you have a right to be informed and that this information should be free. So we have gathered important information which should concern you and have placed it all here for you. If you have questions, you are welcome to email. There are no clubs to join, no memberships to pay.
There are thousands of sites advertising things for "FREE." But "FREE" often has a catch. To get your "FREE" computer, you only have to sign up for three years of overpriced Internet access, using their software which bombards you with ads and tracks your every move. "FREE" software where you have to pay membership to a club that will advertise obsolete software at the original list price and charge obscene handling fees for your "free" items. Some sites do offer free items but only to get your personal information and sell it to other companies. Then there are the fraudulent sites that will sell you illegal software or offer rebates that you will never see.
On this site, FREE means FREE. The free offers are free. HTML, ASP and Javascripts are free. (Play the online games we have added. The code to do this is right here.) We have many informative articles on numerous subjects and more added constantly. Our ad-free, monthly newsletter is free. We advise you of offers we recommend and sites we feel are worthwhile but it is entirely your choice to visit. We accept no paid advertisements. No one pays us to list their site. We only post those we feel are worth visiting. The offers we recommend are those that we have tried ourselves. We will also warn you about deals and sites to avoid, the latest scams and how to protect yourself on line.
Why do we do it? We remember when we first started and had to depend on others for help. Now we're passing it on. However, maintaining a site like this takes time and money. We don't charge anything. All we ask for is that you think of us when you are shopping for one of the items we carry, such as digital cameras, batteries, ink jet cartridges or computer accessories.
This site is what YOU make it. You can simply lurk in the background, read the articles and never leave a clue that you were here. We urge you to participate, by giving us some feedback, telling us what you like or suggesting improvements. Often you can even "chat" with us directly by clicking the Humanclick icon (no software required) or the Yahoo messenger icon (If you have Yahoo messenger installed). We don't see your name or email ID, just your Yahoo ID, so you can chat in total annonymity. The Yahoo icon even tells you if we are online at the moment. If we are, you will get an immediate response. We also answer email promptly. We would like you to check out our deals on selected computer and digital camera and related items. We have chosen a few items where we feel we can save you money.
This site is a labor of love. We have tried to fill it with content that will appeal to a wide variety of people. Check out our links, with new ones being added constantly.
Don't attempt to judge this site simply by the price of the items offered. Take a look at the value. Yes, If you search around long enough, someone will probably beat us. Even assuming that it is a legitimate deal (and there are plenty of illegitimate offers with hidden "gotchas." Our past newsletters have covered some of these scams) do these other sites provide free tech support? Hundreds of dollars of free software with every purchase? Will they let you pay with any of the methods we accept, including personal checks? Take a look at the free bonuses we offer (the first link under Product Links). There is a reason why we don't advertise, fill this site with "reciprocal links" and banners and do all the things that other sites do to get hits. We get a lot of repeat business and referrals from previous customers. We must be doing something right. Whether you agree or disagree, we'd like to hear from you. So drop us an email any time.
We are also available to assist with custom programming, computer training and web-site design.
February 2004 : Because of some screwed-up people who have nothing better to do than harrass others over the Net, our free software and tech support will be provided only to our customers. We are no longer offering free tech support, email notification of the newsletter, the free buyer/seller resource, cooltools and other such items to unknown people who simply email. For three years we have been providing free services and a free newsletter which contains no ads to anyone who asked. We don't understand why people would sign up for this letter and then blast us as spammers when they get it. For the feeble-minded, the definition of spam is: 1) email from a company with which you have no prior relationship. A company YOU have contacted does not fit this description. 2) email of a commercial nature. Our email has NO ADS. 3) email that does not allow you to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe from ours at any time. But some found it easier to send nasty and obscene emails and report us to stupid organizations like spamcop and AOL (who will blacklist an entire domain over one complaint) rather than simply reply with remove. Some of you subscribed to the newsletter and then put us on your blacklist. Some of you subscribed under fake email IDs. Thanks to you, we are changing our policies. Our apologies to the innocent people this will affect.
